4 fab & easy nail art designs

There’s nothing quite like getting your nails freshly done - we don’t know about you, but it just makes us feel totally put together. Whether you started doing your own at home manicures during iso or it’s a part of your regular Sunday self-care routine, you don’t have to be a nail artist to have cute nails. Jazzing them up with some nail art is actually a lot easier than you think!

To give you some inspo, we’ve picked out our 4 favourite, easy nail art designs that any beginner can do. From polka dot flowers to half-moons, there’s something for everyone. Let’s get into it!

Easy nail art ideas:

  1. Flowers
  2. French glitter mani
  3. Half-moons
  4. Terrazzo

No matter the season, floral nails will always be in - and we just love the simplicity of them!

For this easy nail art, paint your nails with your base coat colour - it can be white like in the picture, or you could also try a sheer pink or nude. Next, get a bobby pin to use for the dots (you can also use a dotting tool if you have one).

Dip the pointed end into your nail polish and create 5 small dots in a circle on your nail. Do a few flowers in each colour and then allow to dry. Once they’re dry, get a darker colour and add a small dot into the middle of the flowers - and that’s it! Finish with a top coat and you’ve got yourself some cute as heck nails.

2. French glitter mani

Who doesn’t love a bit of glitter to add some sparkle into their day? ✨

A french manicure may seem a little tricky, but we promise anyone can do this easy nail art (even those of you with short nails). You can also use any colour or glitter that you like! Start by placing some tape over your nail so just the tip is visible (the tape should cover your nail bed). If you don’t have tape, you can try using a bandaid or small plaster.

Paint over the tip of your nail with your glitter colour, and leave it to dry for a few minutes. After this, carefully remove the tape. Once the tips are completely dry, you can then paint over your entire nails with a clear base coat or a sheer pink.

3. Half-moons

We’re suckers for the classic half-moon mani, and it’s such an easy nail art design! Again, you can totally play around with your favourite colours for this one and try different combinations. If you’re not sure which colours work with what, check out a colour wheel.

For this nail design, paint your entire nail with the colour you want as your half-moon. Allow the paint to dry. Then, get some tape and cut it into a circle. Place it over one-third of your nail near the nail bed. Paint your nail again, but this time with the second colour - making sure you get right up to the edges of the tape.

Carefully remove the tape when the polish is still wet. Let it all dry and finish with a top coat.

4. Terrazzo

While international travel is off the cards (for now), you can still bring a little bit of Italy to your nails with this design, which is super simple to recreate.

Start off by painting your nails with the base coat, and allow to dry. Take your first colour and dab the nail polish brush ever so lightly on your nail. It should look like a small splotch of paint. Keep doing this with all the other colours until you’re happy with your terrazzo.

If you want to change it up a bit, you can also opt for super bright colours too!
